The Benefits of Validation

There is a big difference between these two different Combo boxes. When you use the Combo Control, there is nothing in the cell: just a Control. There is no data you can Sort, Filter, or Analyze.

 

When you select something from a Validation List, whatever you chose is entered into the cell, as if you typed it.

 

Now, if you combine Validation with Conditional Formatting, you can make an interactive form that is fast and user friendly.
