Network Properties
The Local Area
Connection Properties displays the items you need for Windows networking.
Most of these programs are either on or off. They are installed by
default and there are no properties to edit.
The
Client software enables your computer to access and use the resources
in a
Windows network.
Quality of
Service Packet Scheduler coordinates traffic and priorities.
File and
printer sharing enables workgroup collaboration.
The
Internet Protocols are required so that Windows can communicate with
the Internet.
The Topology
Discovery Mapper looks for other computers and devices in the
local area. The Discovery Responder allows your machine to
broadcast the files and printers available from your computer.
