The Advanced
options allow you to customize the Browser and modify your security
settings.
What are ActiveX and Java controls? These
controls use code to animate a web site. When you run your mouse over a
web button and it changes color or opens a menu, that behavior is
programmed with a script.
Most of these
controls are harmless: they add functionality to the web page. Others
controls were only built for malicious purposes. Independent companies,
such as VeriSign, review web sites and validate that the controls are
safe to use.
