What If

Suppose you wanted to look up the best and worst cases for your sales projections. You could type in a robust initial sales number and a vigorous daily increment for the best case. Then, you could type in more conservative estimates for the worst case.

 

Microsoft Excel has a way to save that information: What-If Analysis.

Try it: Use the What-If Analysis

1. Select cell B1.  Now, define the scenario by going to Data Tools on the Data Ribbon and clicking What-If Analysis.

 

2. When the Scenario Manager opens, please look for the Add button on the right.

Data -> Data Tools ->What-If Analysis
