Show/Hide
Go to Home
-> Paragraph and look for the
Show/Hide button. It is a backwards-facing “P” on the far right side
of the screen
When the Show/Hide is turned on Microsoft Word displays all of
the non-printing characters. A non-printing character is a symbol you
can see on the screen--such as the backwards “P” that marks each time
you hit the Enter key and create a new line.
These
characters help you with your layout, but they do not print.
