Administrative Override Sometimes none of these options work to clear the printer. As an administrator you can see that the Word, Excel, and printer test pages collect in the Printer Queue. Sometimes, poorly written applications can cause “invisible” printer jams.   There is an Administrative override. This Administrative override is only available with Windows NT: 2000, XP and Vista.   Here are the steps to open the Windows Management Console and stop the Spooler service.   Right click Computer and select Manage.
