Read Only

Suppose there was one file that you wanted people to be able to look at, but not touch? There are times when this is necessary. Public records need to be available, but not changed or edited.

Try this: right mouse button click on any document or spreadsheet and choose the Properties option. The General Tab indicates the size of the file and the location. Find the option to make the file read only.

Under Lock and Key?

Is the data in the Shared folder fully secure? Not really. What we’ve done is made our files reasonably safe and that’s a start.

It’s not as intimidating as it looks. I’ve been there…and I’ll be here for you.

When it all gets too frustrating, repeat after me:

I AM the administrator.
