Spring Cleaning
The
Computer Mama done
told you and told you—Don’t install software on the computer without
asking. There are games and old
software in every possible place. What's the best way
to clean up?
Toss It In The Trash?
The lazy man's way is to simply delete the program. Go to the
Computer, grab the game folder and drag it to the trash can. This
will eliminate a bunch of stuff. However, it won’t put the computer
back to the way it was before you installed the game. The Start
Button will still have a shortcut to the game or what have you. If
anyone clicks on it they will receive an error message.
Each game or
program also has files in the System folder. There may be dynamic
link libraries (dlls), installation and configuration files. Which
ones should be deleted?
