The goal of the
Comma Project is to
make the computer a tool for analytical thinking and communication. To
that end, Mastery of the technology must surpass application skills to
higher-level thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. The
Comma Method applies Bloom's Levels of cognition to guidelines for advanced
technology use.
Bloom’s Taxonomy maps directly to the Windows menu
structure. Reading the Standard Tool bar from left to right, the menu
options become increasingly more difficult.
In Bloom’s the highest level of
mastery is evaluation.
For computers, evaluation is when the user steps
outside of the software programs and asks: What tool(s) would satisfy this
task? What Business Rules can automate this process?
