Set Up A Printer
Printers are
like vacuum cleaners: they are simple to put together. If it fits,
that’s where it goes. New printers use
the small, rectangular USB cable. Older
printers used the big parallel port on the back of the computer. With
either connector, there is only way to plug it in.
Printer Drivers
Whenever you print, you called on Windows to talk to your
printer. Windows 98 talks to hardware differently than
Windows 2000, XP or Vista: so each version of Windows required a different printer
driver.
Windows
Vista and Windows
XP simplified the mix and match of printer drivers by
including an extensive collection for most popular home and office
printers.
