What is a
Data Backup?
A
backup is an extra copy of your important files. The additional
copies are to safe guard your important documents, photos and music. If
your computer failed, then you could restore, or copy
the files back, to your new hardware.
A backup
also makes your files more portable. It's a little easier to grab a
CD with all of your data, then unplug the computer and drag it
downtown.
The
Computer Mama has taught several thousand people in the past couple
of years. Less than 100 students said they did back ups. The rest of
the men and women in my classes didn’t even know how to back up.
This is
too important to pass by.
