TechTalk: Managing Legacy Files
Now, look at the top of the
Microsoft Word window. The
WordPerfect (wpd) file opened in Compatibility Mode.
To convert this document to Word:
Go to File ->
Save As
The default file
format in Word 2007 is the Word format: docx.
If you need to work
with people who are using Office 97-2003, you should select the
legacy file format so that others can open your document. Is there a program or method
that will convert hundreds of WordPerfect files into Word? No, not
as of this writing. It is a manual process: open one at a time and
save as needed. |
