Picture
Styles
One of the new features in Microsoft Office 2007 is
Picture Styles. You can format the picture to have a border, shadow, or a reflection.
Try it: select the picture and use the Picture
Effects. The Reflection creates a light, mirror image. Is the
reflection light enough to use as a background behind the text?
William Alexander was a famous oil painter who taught on
PBS Public Television. He taught, "Light on light gives you nothing. Dark on dark gives
you nothing. You need dark on light!”
You may want to try some other enhancements on the picture to make the
type more legible. Look in the Adjust Group for the Recolor
options to fade or wash out a picture.
