Power
Management has several options that need attention. The network card
can be set to turn off and save energy. The card can also be set to
Wake the computer while you are sleeping or away. Network
Administrators appreciate the option to Wake on LAN. Say you had to
install software on all of the computers in your office or department.
The work can be done at night when no one is using their
computers. The Administrator can wake up the computers on the LAN and install the
changes over the network. Laptop owners,
please test this option. Power Management uses battery power to wake up
and renew the network status.
