Hardware Resources

The hardware resources page shows the Memory Range, I/O Range and IRQ. The settings indicate that there are no conflicts. That means that no other hardware device is competing with this network card for the computer's resources.

The system uses Interrupt requests when it is working with hardware. In the early days of Windows 95, IRQ conflicts were common. If several devices used the same IRQ number, then the system would not recognize which hardware called it.

The development of Plug and Play eliminated most of the conflicts.

Plug and Play, PnP, is started when the computer is turned on. The PnP devices are discovered and assigned unique IRQ numbers.
