Hardware Resources
The
hardware resources page shows the Memory Range, I/O Range and IRQ. The
settings indicate that there are no conflicts. That means that no other
hardware device is competing with this network card for the computer's
resources.
The system
uses Interrupt requests when it is working with hardware. In the early
days of Windows 95, IRQ conflicts were common. If several devices used
the same IRQ number, then the system would not recognize which hardware
called it.
The
development of Plug and Play eliminated most of the conflicts.
Plug and Play,
PnP, is started when the computer is turned on. The PnP devices are
discovered and assigned unique IRQ numbers.
