Did you register that?
One of the best features that was ever included in
an operating system is Windows Restore.
Windows has a Registry of all of the changes you made since
you first set up your computer. Every time you make a change in the
Control Panel, that change is saved in the Registry. If you used the
Control Panel to make the mouse move slower and the video display
larger, that’s stored in the Registry. When you Add or Remove a
program, that information is saved, too.
We’ve talked about backing up our files and folders, but how do you
back up the registry?
The Registry:
The Windows Registry contains HKeys, or
“Hives” of folders. There are five HKeys for the hardware, the software,
the local machine
