Come One, Come All

Could you create web pages that have data entry forms? The Internet is available to anyone who has a computer and Internet connections.

What are the options for creating a web form? How does it link to your database tables?

Microsoft Access 2007 uses SharePoint to link a web page to a database. Your users don’t need to install Access. They see the data from your tables in their browser. Whatever is typed into the web form goes into the tables: live, in real time.

You can publish your site to SharePoint and continue to use the forms and reports in Microsoft Access if you wish.

SharePoint uses web 2.0 formats. Microsoft Access 2007 exports a list, or XML, view of your tables. It is level of indirection that allows two different file formats to exchange information.
