Ride the Wave
Each
version of Microsoft Windows has its own set of sound. Sound is
used to alert users to Windows events. For example, Windows will
play a sound if you try to close Microsoft Word without saving your
file.
Sounds are
.wav files
The sound files are stored in the Windows
Media folder. To change a sound, select an event from the Sound Property
list.
The
Computer Mama’s
favorite practical joke is to change the Windows Critical Stop from a stern beep to
something outrageous like screeching tires or a loud voice yelling,
“Noooooooo!”
Allez Allez in free! Now you know how to change the sound settings
on your computer. Crank it up! Feels good to take control, doesn’t
it?
