Cleaning the Case and Fans
Computers have several fans and heat sinks to cool the hardware. You
can see one fan on the power supply on the back of your case. There
is another fan mounted on the motherboard. It’s job is to cool the processor. Without proper cooling, your processor could overheat.
Your video card will also have a fan.
These fans suck up dust and fuzz just like the one in your window. You
can use a soft painter's brush to dust the fans and heat sinks. You can
also
gently vacuum your computer from the outside. When you open it to clean
the dust bunnies, please be careful with the sensitive parts.
These little guys really
like it when you take care of them.
Computers! Yea, we love them, don’t we?
