Baby Computers
For those
of us who do not need an extra 1,100 computers clustered together,
there is another trend in computing that may change how we look at
PCs.
The
biggest (and slowest) part of a computer is the
hard drive. What if the data
could be stored in memory? What if the entire computer could
be reduced to the size of a credit card? Monitors, keyboards and
mice are ubiquitous: you can find them everywhere from the local
library to the nearest business.
Flash
drives are used to store digital pictures, music, and data. The time
will come when the entire PC--operating system and all--can reside
on a memory stick.
Just
think: what once took a room full of computers in 1960 can now fit
in your hand.
