Take Control: Power Properties
Turn off the display
Your screen display consumes a lot of
energy. It also puts out a significant amount of heat. You can turn
off the display automatically whenever you have been away from your
computer (afk!) for more than 20 minutes.
Put the Computer to sleep
Making the computer go to sleep saves power. It is not
the same as turning it off because it leaves all of your toys and
applications open the way you left them. It is similar to the instant-on
button in your TV. |
