Windows Vista makes a distinction between the User options that you can adjust, and Administrator settings that affect everyone. For example, turning up the sound is your personal preference. Setting up hardware for Internet access affects everyone who uses this computer.

 

Users can adjusting the display, mouse, keyboard, sound, and appearance of Windows Vista.

 

Administrators can change hardware, security, network and Internet settings. These system changes require an Administrator name and Password.

 

So, you’ve found the Control Panel. Now you can get started. Feels good to take control, doesn’t it?
