In
Cyberspace...
In
Cyberspace, hard drives never fail, motherboards don't die in a puff
of smoke, and monitors never fade to black.
In the real world bad things happen to good computers. When
hardware fails, Windows sings the blues: the infamous Blue Screen
Of Death.
The Blue Screen is a total halt. There is no response
from either the keyboard or mouse. The system is dead in the water.
The Blue Screen starts with the words “Stop Error” at the top
of the screen. The rest of the screen is filled with a “dump” that
even the Computer Mama can’t interpret. Don’t panic. Look after the words Stop
Error for a code: something like 0x0000001E.
